This is the thread for Carol's appearances on Gomer Pyle. Liv's right about aggressive Carol And I love her scenes with Sergeant Carter

The one thing that irritates me about her episodes on Gomer was that her character was expected to change into some soft, weak, and dependent flower to get a date. I mean, sure she needed to loosen up. Not everyone wants to date a drill sergeant (except me;aggressive Carol is a complete turn on), but they changed her into a fainting schmuck! It's just sad that to get guys to notice her, she had to change who she was for their sake. I'm reading too much into this. They probably just didn't like the idea of her being the one to take the bull by its horn. Oh, gawwwwd, Liv, get your mind out of the gutter. (I totally thought that in Mama's voice)

(I totally thought that in Mama's voice) I totally get that, actually. But she was very much in on the joke, and since Sergeant Carter was the only other character who was just as loud and strong as her, she needed the change in technique. And when Gomer tells her there's nothing between he and her, I know she's not in the right and everything, but I still hate seeing my baby sad.
