Let's start with one of the most known sketches from the show: Went With The Wind. We've all seen it countless amounts of times, and we love it even more with each one. What made that sketch so memorable, and why has it stood the test of time? Was it the cast or the writing that we remember more? Or was it the curtain rod dress?

This is horrible of me, but that sketch isn't one of my favorites.. in fact, I'm not sure why it'smore famous than the others. Maybe it's because I didn't see the actual movie until after, so it didn't make much sense to me.

One of my all time favorite sketches is the Carol & Sis one where they think Chris is pregnant. I was in tears I was laughing so hard the first time I saw it. It cracks me up every time!! Carol's reactions throughout the entire thing are HYSTERICAL. I never get tired of it (:

And I think it makes it even funnier knowing where Carrie's birthday falls in relation to when Carol and Joe married

I do appreciate the intent of the sketch (as if anyone remembers that...), since I can't sit still for any period of time let alone a movie as long as GWTW. That being said, Vicki is hysterical in it.

One sketch I don't bring up often enough is "Raised to Be Rotten" with Carol, Ruth Buzzi, and Richard Crenna. There's no denying it: Carol's facial expressions MAKE that sketch.

Me too! And I think it makes it even funnier knowing where Carrie's birthday falls in relation to when Carol and Joe married First of all, yeah, I've always giggled about this. She was so preggo before they got married! Which I love...Carol you naughty girl!! I agree about the Went With the Wind sketch. The best things about it were the dress itself and of course Vicki...hysterical!! But my feelings could be from my feelings toward the movie. I hadn't seen it when I saw the sketch either, but when I did see it, I didn't care for it. I enjoy the sketches including Mother Marcus...I love Mother Marcus! "Mmmarion Mmmmarion Mmmmarion..."

I know this is such a typical response to this question, but I really do love the Family sketches. My family is from Oklahoma, North Carolina, and Arkansas, and they all talk like them. Watching the sketches is exactly like watching my life. Some of the stuff Mama says my Grandma has said almost verbatim and it's so funny!! If I had a dollar for every time I've heard "Just how many beers does that make today, Vanessa?"(my aunt)...
I think pretty much everyone knows someone like Mama and that's what makes it so easy to relate to. Sometimes I just wanna give Eunice a hug because she really does try so hard and no one gives her any credit.

My absolute favorite sketch is "Movie Star Crazy" It's the one where she goes crazy over the movie magazines and starts doing hilarious impressions of Katharine Hepburn and Bette Davis. I almost died laughing. She was spot on as always.
